Installation – Stranger Things 5, Bordeaux and Strasbourg
Engineering, fabrication, and installation of bespoke scenic elements to promote the latest season of Stranger Things.
Amplify Agency for Netflix commissioned IN/OFF to design and produce Christmas installations directly inspired by the series, deployed in the cities of Bordeaux and Strasbourg.
The project transformed the Promenade Sainte-Catherine in Bordeaux through a series of custom light installations, echoing traditional christmas decorations with the supernatural atmosphere of the show.
IN/OFF adapted the client’s concept to the actual constraints of the installation site, designed and built the structures, and sourced the various highly specifics elements for this project.
The Strasbourg’s train station hosted a monumental “Upside Down” Christmas tree, standing over 6 meters tall and looking as if it had come straight out of the serie’s universe.
To achieve this, IN/OFF customized every element, from the tree itself to the ornaments, to recreate the special effect featured in the series associated with this parallel world.
