Giant ice cube – Iglo, Paris
Design, production and installation of an immersive activation centered around a giant ice cube encasing a full-size vehicle.
For this project, IN/OFF developed an ambitious technical and scenographic challenge: freezing an entire car within a monumental block of ice. The process required advanced refrigeration engineering to achieve a controlled and uniform freeze, while preserving both the structural integrity of the ice and the visual impact of the installation.
Beyond the scenography itself, IN/OFF designed and built a connected digital platform linking the physical elements of the installation to the audience’s smartphones. Through this interface, visitors could remotely activate heating plates positioned around the ice cube , directly influencing the melting process and progressively revealing the car within. Engineering and interactivity were at the heart of this project, turning a static display into a live, audience-driven experience.
